The company is engaged in research, development, and manufacturing of Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products (ATMPs), primarily based on stem cells for regenerative medicine and tissue engineering in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). Additionally, it conducts clinical evaluations of its own medicinal products but also acts as a clinical trials organizer for other entities. The manufacturing of ATMPs takes place in cleanrooms of class A/B. The research team of Bioinova also focuses on the development of non-cellular material derived from stem cells for biomedical applications. Another core activity is the manufacturing of In Vitro Diagnostic (IVD) medical devices (ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 certified).
